conventionally, internal combustion engines whether they are of the reciprocating piston type or the rotary type, utilize the otto-cycle or the diesel-cycle or the dual-combustion-cycle.

the present invention overcomes these disadvantages by utilizing an improved cycle in which the expansion ratio or stroke is greater than the compression ratio, or stroke is greater than the compression ratio or stroke therby converting some of the energy normally expelled and wasted in the exhaust gases, to useful work or horsepower.
the greater the expansion ration compared to that of the compression ratio is achieved within one cylinder and piston in contrast to the "brayton" cycle which although it expands the gases to atmospheric pressure, achieves this with two pistons, one fro compression and the other for expansion.
furthermore, a common mini-combustion chamber is used for each bank of cylinders so that continuous combustion is possible. { ooh! sounds clean and efficient } an object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved operating cycle for internal combustion engines in which the expansion and exhaust strokes are longer than the intake and compression strokes thereby converting more work to useful energy than in conventional operating cycles.

Nemo is having a problem with the service being provided today by the TTC out of Wilson Division. Buses are erratic. The Bayview route, for example, is supposed to provide 10-minute service. Unfortunately, short-end runs are jumping the inbound by up to ten minutes on a 10 minute headway. That means you see a pattern like... bus, 1-minute gap, bus, 19-minute gap, bus, 2 minute gap...


CIS, is a TTC-developed bus tracking system (project started when Nemo was in Highschool). CIS was supposed to prevent these abominations from happening. When I was trained to operate, one was allowed to be LATE. "Safe driving takes president over all times shown"! There is, however no excuse for running early (vernacular "sharp"). The guys that run "sharp" are lazy and despicable. Attitudes demonstrated by many operators show contempt for the system.  After complaining to Ed Korpan, busses would bypass me intentionally, even though there were other customers waiting.  This bus division may just be the only rotten apple, but one is enough to bring down the rest.

The fact that I have several illnesses and use a walker seems to be lost on these prima donas. The fact that I have been an employee since 1976 seems to be lost on these useless cogs.  The fact that I was a subway motorman, a bus operator, a dispatcher, a subway towerma, a programmer trainee, a programmer analyst, a systems analyst, a senior database analyst.  I have been co-developer for the subway headway information system,  the wheel trans information  system, legal tracking system, the medical monitoring system, and so on.

TTC tries to scam 'the scammer'. They tell me that they will investigate my complaints and "get back to me". Several months after initiating a complaints about the Bayview and Mt Pleasant services, service is as bad as ever and I have had no response from Customer Service.  The fact that I was about to board a bus when the driver shut the doors and drove off.

The "investigations" should be straight forward. CIS records the position of buses, and the performance of the service can easily be checked by playing back the service logs. A superintendent, or assistant can easily walk to the CIS room at their leisure and review and verify a complaint. What investigation is necessary?

Also, the CIS system is able to set of alarms on the buses when they run ahead of schedule. The alarms seem to be disabled, and those operators who are running "sharp" should be warned at +2. These seem to be in the "off" position.

As to the old standard excuse, my watch was off is not an excuse. If the CIS Trump Unit is properly configured, the operator is warned. If you see a positive time like +3, CIS should react. If you see a negative time like -3, pick up a bit if you can. If you can't do that math, you should probably be homeless and begging on the street.

Nemo thinks the TTC worked better when the Supervisors (nee Inspectors) were on foot, on the streets. Service should be run as is the downtown street-cars...zero minutes sharp.

A small group of unmanageable idiots is ruining the reputation of the TTC and bring the contempt of the public. Two TTC Special Constable Sergeant have admitted to Nemo recently that the Union has become so strong at WILSON DIVISION that everyone does pretty much as they please.
